more copies and days off

i received 14 more copies of my newest book, 25 Best-Loved Poems of the Future, from Bill Roberts of Bottle of Smoke Press. i gave away the initial 10 copies he sent me with the signature sheets, so it was nice to get more.
if you are interested in purchasing a copy, let me know by emailing me or commenting to this post and we'll discuss payment options. or, you can always go to the Bottle of Smoke website and purchase a copy. and, while you're there, you should pick up a copy of my first book, i was a third grade genius..., if you don't already own one (and you can't go wrong picking up any of the other great collections Bottle of Smoke has released). there are only a few copies of i was a third grade genius... left, so you best hurry before they run out.
and remember, there are only 200 copies of 25 Best-Loved Poems of the Future, and the first 50 orders come signed with an extra-special broadside checklist of all of my publications.

now, i must finish painting the garage and packing up my books. i have today off for Pioneer Day, which was yesterday, and tomorrow and Wednesday off for our yearly plant shutdown. unfortunately, i can't use the time for much-needed relaxation as there's plenty of shit that needs to get done.

went straight to BOS and bought the book, didn’t know you would be selling direct yourself – anyway was speaking with my wife on the phone earlier and it has come in the post, so looking forward to the read.

luck with packing your life into small boxes and then packing those into one big box – had to use storage on our last move due to different completion dates – strange to see everything you own become non functional and packed into one space, lets you know how much or how little you have and what is important and what is not.

was very surprised at the shipping speed from US to Ireland. got copy number five and so received the broadside check list. the whole package is up to the usual BOS high standard to say nothing of the quality of writing. hope it’s with you soon.

Friday is payday and I want to order them then. Can I only get the signed ones from you? Because I like the signed ones! :)

b mcg-
i hope you truly enjoy the book. the design is amazing. Bill did an unbelievable job (again)! i hope the poetry stands up to the design. i feel it does, but i'm just a bit biased.

Kat-
thanks for ordering a copy. you'll probably get a signed one. the first 50 are signed and come with a checklist broadside of all my pubs (books and broadsides). i doubt 50 have been sold already. but, if not, i've extra broadsides, so you can get one of those, and i will be more than willing to sign your book. in fact, even if the one you purchase is signed, i will inscribe it to you if you like.

that offer is open to any and all.

chris-
i hope you get yours soon, but i've noticed that it takes less time to mail something overseas than to Canada,. or even within the US. not sure why. magazines that both Glenn W. Cooper (in Australia!) and i subscribe to are often received by him before me.

I noticed that, too. One of the people who subscribes to "remark." is in Germany and another person is in Florida...three hours from my house and the woman in Germany always gets her copy before the one in Florida...that's so weird!

And I do want a signed one! :)

the mail service is insane. you can drive mail to the destination faster than they can deliver it. and it's their only job. i don't know what goes on there. and how is possible to go 2500 miles (or more), across borders and language barriers, faster than just across a city or two cities over?

Chris
you are too kind, but thank you for the nice words. makes me feel good. i felt good about this book, and these poems, but one never knows until they get into the hands of those who understand, you know? anyway, thank you. i hope i'm like a fine wine, or gourmet cheese: i get better with age. :)

Finally got my copy! I ordered it on the 2nd...see the mail does too suck...

It's great, justin. I sent you an email with my thoughts (probably a bit incoherent but maybe it will make sense!) It's my favorite of the books I've read of yours so far!

:)
