well, i was able to steal away for a few seconds. thought i'd post a little news.
i received my contributor's copy of Main Channel Voices, where my poem the relationship archaeologist is featured. Main Channel Voices bills itself as a "Dam Fine" journal of poetry, and it IS awfully "dam" good.
we're still at our friend's house, but we'll be back at our place Thursday night.
Lastly, i should mention that i'm reeling with joy from my Florida Gators' win against their vaunted rival the Tennessee Volunteers. What a great game and what a great feeling. i hope there are more wins to come.

casey casey casey,
there are no (or at least very few) Mennonites here. they are all up in your area. it's all Mormons that are here. man, you knew that, though. you're just being funny.
also, i'm a fan o' the Gators because i am an alumnus of the University o' Florida. ergo, i'm a big fan.
but, remember: Mormons in Utah, Mennonites and Amish in Pennsylvania/Ohio/West Virginia, Baptists in The Deep South, Catholics in the Northeast, and Satan in the White House! ;)
casey-
you're a man after my own heart. people are always saying the same thing about me: that i take nothing seriously and joke all the time. it isn't true, of course, but life is too damn serious as it is. there aren't enough jokes.
i figured you knew the difference. if you knew what a Mennonite was, you probably knew the difference between a Mennonite and a Momo. and no, for the record, i am neither. nor am i Amish.
no, didn't hang out with Emmitt, though that would've been cool. he left the year before i started, so i didn't even get to see him play! :(
as for The Poltergeist lady, i doubt it would work. nor the dudes from The Exorcist. this brand of Satan is much too powerful for mere paranormal bullshit.
