i can't believe i forgot to post it, but back in April my Florida Gators basketball team won the NCAA Tournament. it was a very exciting time in the Barrett household, let me tell you.
anyway, a few more months of summer drudgery before football season begins. i only hope we have half the success our basketball team had. that's a lie, i hope we have more than half, but you know what i mean.

speakin of sports, which I don’t often do, I hear Real Salt Lake are to play a friendly against Real Madrid on Aug 12 – right in your back garden j – you think you might head down and check it out?
sorry, should have clarified earlier, I’m talkin about football or footy for short – though the word Soccer originated in England it is very rarely used anywhere in the UK or Ireland, so football it is.
i heard that, but i'm not much of a soccer (or footy) fan. i think it's kinda goofy that our local team here in Utah call themselves Real Salt Lake after Real Madrid. doesn't really make sense to me.
anyway, soccer is gaining in popularity here in America, but it's still 4th or 5th fiddle.
