birthday gift

we are moved.
the impossible or the seemingly impossible finally occurred. we moved.

we are slowly making our way through endless boxes of shit. tossing that which we don't need, or won't fit or we have two of, and finding a place for the rest. my new writing room is partially set up (a desk with my computer and typewriter, so far) and the rest in boxes waiting for me to muster the energy to got through it.

and, there is no better birthday gift i can think of than to be moved in, set up and ready to continue on with the rest of our miserable lives.

now, if i can just figure out what the hell this switch does.

thanks, man.
definitely worth it. definitely a lot of work. put up curtains and drapes today. set up the washer and dryer. umpacked countless boxes.

i'm too lazy for all this work.

i just coined that word today while unpacking umpteen boxes. it's a portmandeau. i fused the two words together.

so, when you have umpteen boxes to unpack, you're umpacking.

duh!

jesus...do i have to spell everything out for you? okay: E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G!
there.

damn it, Owen.

i have to get some slack since it's French. i know that it's no big deal for you Canadians, but that shit is hard for us Americans.

and, now that i think about it, i just coined the word portmandeau. it's a portmanteau of the words "portmanteau" and the letter "d". it means nothing.

i'm very brilliant.

and quick checking up on me, you son of a bitch. this is MY blog and i'll spell any which way i want.

hey, thanks man...

the Beatles are always a good birthday time.. :)

and i suppose i'm not the only on this blog into coining words.

i think pardmantrew is my new favoritest word. :)

now, back to my umpacking. soon, i'll have less boxes and will no longer be umpacking, but fewpacking.
it's late.

Happy Birthday! So, your birthday is July 15th? Without sounding all goofy...this makes your sign, Cancer?

SO glad to hear the move went pretty smoothly.

Umpacking. Love that!

Happy birthday Justin.

A year older & you're already coining new words.

Kat-
yes, i'm a cancer. and a crab.
both apt description of my relation to society and my personality, respectively.

thanks for the birthday wishes. you, too, Luis.

i'm coining all manner of new words. i'm the new Shakespeare. just not as prolific.

Not sure what to make of your new address just yet ... but I'm working on it. :)

Don't worry about umpacking, just start writing! Julee can umpack!

That was me above. Forgot my name.

Julee is umpacking. like a madwoman. i'm more laid back, knowing it will get done eventually. as long as the necessities (food, clothing, toilet paper, toothbrush, wine and beer, typewriter and computer) are unpacked, then i'm fine with just doing it slowly.
not her. no way. but i love her for it. she gets into a zone. i'm just afraid she'll start putting everything away and not remember where she put it. then we'll spend the next few months trying to find things again. :)

as for the writing. it'll come. i just need some rest and to get "back" into the domesticity of it all. back into my rhythm.

well these posts help maintain the word flow thru the brain so it won't be long. and how great to explore mentally a new writing room, new sounds to influence. I'm sure it'll be great.

and good on the wife! us lucky bastards, cyn is that way too zone-wise. me, I'm a lazy lazy lazy man and it takes a battle to get me off my typewritten/blogged ass most days.

I'm not as wordy?, wordie?, whatever!, as you guys, but anyway - Happy Birthday J.B. Cancer or no, you're OK. And congrats on the house.

Chris-
